Can I get broadband?

You need the following to get broadband:

A working phone line that is suitable for broadband or line of sight to a wireless transmitter site.

A computer that meets the required minimum specifications.

  If you use a PC you will need If you use a Mac you will need
Processor Pentium II (or equivalent) 233MHz or above 200Mhz Power PC or equivalent.
A supported Operating System Microsoft Windows 98SE (Second Edition) or higher Mac OS 9 (or Higher)(OSX recommended).
Memory 32MB RAM or higher 200Mhz and 32MB System Memory (RAM). or higher
Hard Drive 100MB available hard disk. 100MB available hard disk.
Hardware CD-ROM drive and an Ethernet or USB port. A two-speed CD-ROM and an Ethernet or USB port

Wireless Adapters

If your PC has a USB port and does not have a built in wireless connection you can connect to the modem using a USB wireless adapter. We also supply wireless network cards for laptops that may not have a built in wireless connection. 

Please note that if your PC has a USB connection but does not have an Ethernet connection you will need a wireless usb adapter to connect to the wireless modem.
